Deburring and polishing of machined parts

Finishing machined parts involves a sequence of sandblasting, polishing, and deburring operations designed to:

round off sharp edges;
Remove metallic fragments and shavings;
polish surfaces;
smooth out irregular shaped curves; and
ensure every part meets the highest quality standards for end products.

Even if equipment is upgraded on a regular basis, part of the work requires such detail and precision that it can only be done by humans. The work involved is noisy and messy, which is why many machinists see deburring as a “necessary evil.”
